Bay Marine Electronics is proud to have been involved the recent Pachouds 18M Power Cat ‘Sojourn’ project. We have specified and designed the marine electronics required, then supplied and commissioned the navigation, communications and entertainment package for this magnificent boat. Some of the major installation factors our specialist technicians were required to consider were: ease of use, C-Zone integration, sounder and radar performance – a Garmin Electronics suite was chosen to be the cornerstone of the package.
The main helm features two 16″ touch screen displays. From these impressive displays, all aspects of the vessel can be controlled – through the C-Zone network, Fusion stereo, radar, forward looking sonar, autopilot, FLIR camera and of course the chartplotter. The steering is controlled through one of two joysticks – and, through the built in WIFI, an iPad can be used to control all areas of the boat – all from the comfort of the saloon or any of the cabins.
Sojourn’s clean and impressive look extends to the radar arch by using a solid state anemometer, Fantom Doppler radar and flange mounts for antennas which hide cables from view.
Here’s an example of the same trip from a slightly different boat:
